About Louis Widmer
Louis Widmer is an internationally active Swiss family-owned company in the cosmetics and pharmaceutical sector, headquartered in Schlieren near Zurich. Founded in Uitikon in 1960, the company develops and produces dermatological skincare products for healthy and diseased skin, including day and night creams, serums, emulsions, gels, cleansing and sun care products. All preparations are manufactured according to guidelines for pharmaceutical products in the company's own cleanrooms with purified pressurized air and state-of-the-art technology; thanks to germ-free production, preservatives can be kept to a minimum. In the in-house research and development department, dermatologically documented active ingredients are processed in pharmacodynamic dosages and with state-of-the-art galenics. Before market launch, every product undergoes chemical, analytical and microbiological testing. Distribution takes place via own subsidiaries in five countries as well as selected specialist retail partners, with close collaboration with dermatologists and clinics.
