The Company
Lewens is a family business founded in 1998 in Ludwigslust, now in its second generation, and manufactures high-quality sun protection and roofing systems entirely in Germany. The product range includes articulated-arm awnings for balconies and terraces, pergola and vertical awnings, glass roof systems of the Murano series, glass sliding elements, fixed glazing as well as accessories such as LED lighting, radiant heaters and weather automation. On a production area of more than 30,000 m², fully integrated production takes place – from design through computer-aided parts manufacturing and fabric tailoring (over 300 fabric patterns) to in-house powder coating, in operation since 2011. Materials processed include aluminium and steel for the frames, laminated safety glass and multiwall panels for the roofs, as well as solution-dyed acrylic and polyester fabrics. Products are marketed via a nationwide network of specialist dealers; the website is available in German, English, Dutch and Polish. Known product lines are Toscana, Micro, Murano and the weather protection pergola Positano.
