About Lucky Loop Medical

Lucky Loop Medical AB is a Swedish medical technology company based in Stockholm, founded in 2022 by engineers and physicians from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Karolinska Institutet. The company develops and markets the Loop Brush, a patented, minimally invasive surgical brush for the diagnosis of pancreatic cysts. The device is used as an accessory in endoscopic ultrasound fine-needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) and, thanks to its miniaturized design, is intended to reduce surgical risk and significantly increase the amount of cell material harvested. In preclinical, peer-reviewed published tests, a diagnostic success rate of more than 77 % and a more than tenfold higher cell yield compared to conventional methods were reported. The technology is patent-protected in the EU, UK, USA, China and Japan; the company is working with partner hospitals to prepare clinical studies.
