About us
Ludwig Germann Nordhessische Wirkwarenfabrik GmbH is a third-generation family-run manufacturer of warp-knitted fabrics based in Volkmarsen (North Hesse). The company produces warp-knitted fabrics as full-width and tape goods made of polyamide and polyester — including charmeuse, lining fabrics, atlas tricot, hook-and-loop velour, Nyltest fabrics, Quercord and glossy satin. Velour articles (40–350 g/m²) for hook-and-loop fastening, cable protection systems and automotive applications are finished with back coatings of acrylate or polyurethane, dressings or self-adhesive coating. For the medical and rehabilitation/orthopedics sector, velour is laminated with foams, supplied as full-width goods, slit strips in any width or as sewn bandage. The company's own tape-cutting shop produces edging tapes for the bedding, mattress and car mat industries. Delivery is worldwide and Just in Time; as a long-standing supplier, the company is certified to ISO 9001:2015.
