About Ludwig Maschinenbau
Ludwig Maschinenbau GmbH manufactures aluminium components in Wutöschingen-Degernau using cold extrusion as well as CNC milling and CNC turning. Milling and turning parts have been produced since 1995; since 2011, cold extrusion of aluminium has complemented the machine park. The particular strength lies in combined manufacturing: first, the material is formed with minimal material stress, and then only the functionally relevant areas are CNC-machined. This reduces scrap and enables near-net-shape base forms with high repeatability. Another product field is classifier wheels with intricate blade geometries for classifying particles in an airflow. Manufacturing is carried out according to customer drawings, including coordination of material, dimensions, tolerances and inspection scope. Customers come predominantly from mechanical engineering; individual parts, prototypes and small series are supplied.
