About Ludwig Schneider
Ludwig Schneider GmbH & Co. KG is a manufacturer of precision metrology for temperature and density, founded in 1910 by Benjamin Schneider. The product range includes glass thermometers, industrial and dial thermometers according to DIN standards, digital thermometers and reference measurement systems, electrical probes for temperature data acquisition, as well as hydrometers for density measurement with resolutions of up to 0.0001 g/cm³ – partly with mercury-free filling, with or without an integrated thermometer, and in plastic versions. Calibrated instruments serve as reference standards for monitoring other measuring equipment. In addition to the standard range, the company develops custom special solutions for specific measurement tasks and offers calibration services through a modern accredited calibration laboratory. The products are used worldwide in industries such as research, energy, mineral oil, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, mechanical engineering, and automotive and shipbuilding. The production facility has been located in Wertheim since 1954; the company is now run by the fourth generation.
