About Lubeca
The Lübecker Marzipan-Fabrik v. Minden & Bruhns GmbH & Co. KG operates under the brand name Lubeca and manufactures the following as semi-finished products for further processing: raw marzipan masses, nougat masses, chocolate couvertures as well as almond and hazelnut preparations. Marzipan production follows a tradition that is over 100 years old: the masses are finely rolled in granite roller mills and roasted in open, rotating copper roasting kettles; the almonds are blanched beforehand in steam kettles and hand-sorted. Raw materials such as almonds, hazelnuts, sugar and cocoa are received and inspected in the company's own raw goods warehouse; a temperature-controlled, fully automated high-bay warehouse handles storage of finished goods. Customers are confectioners and bakers, chocolatiers, pâtissiers and companies in the confectionery and baking industry, supplied in more than 60 countries. The mid-sized company with 260 employees is 100 % owned by the non-profit Friedrich Bluhme and Else Jebsen Foundation, whose proceeds benefit the public good in the Lübeck region. The production site and headquarters are located in Stockelsdorf near Lübeck.
