Family business in its third generation

Lünzmann Maschinenbau und Schweisstechnik is a family business founded in 1945 in Delmenhorst, now in its third generation. Originating from a master craftsman's shop in metalworking (locksmithing), the focus today is on metal cutting on CNC lathes, boring and milling machines as well as machining centers. The service portfolio includes CNC and conventional turning (up to D 800 mm, L 2000 mm), CNC milling up to 1,600 × 620 × 550 mm, boring of components up to 5 tons unit weight, and surface planing of large surfaces up to 4,000 mm in length. An in-house welding shop with several MIG/MAG machines produces welded constructions with mechanical machining; surface coatings (primer, paint, powder) are commissioned externally upon request. A specialty is the manufacture and repair of water-cooled spot welding cables, pneumatic spot welding guns and hose packages for welding robots in the automotive industry. The company operates as an extended workbench for the automotive industry, special machinery construction and jig/fixture construction – many business relationships have existed for more than 40 years.

Company History

  1. 1945

Heinrich Lünzmann founded a master craftsman's shop in metalworking (locksmithing) in Delmenhorst on 15 June 1945; starting with repair work and restoration of woodworking machines.

  2. Driven by the reconstruction of the automotive industry in Bremen (Borgward and Lloyd), the business transformed into a service provider: design and manufacture of welding guns and welding cables for spot welding systems, plus special machinery construction and jig/fixture construction.

  3. After 20 years, Heinrich Lünzmann handed the business over to his son Peter, who led and expanded the company for over 40 years.

  4. 2007

Since 1 June 2007, Frank Lünzmann has been managing the newly renamed company as managing director.
