About Lüttgens
Lüttgens Polymer Technologies GmbH in Heiligenhaus manufactures technical injection-molded parts and assemblies made of thermoplastic polymers for the automotive industry, the electrical industry, mechanical and plant engineering, and consumer goods. The company was founded in 1937 and initially began with the processing of thermoset molding compounds, before thermoplastics came into use from 1950 and the 2K injection molding process from 1970. In its own toolmaking shop, injection molds and fixtures are manufactured using CNC milling and EDM. Series production comprises 40 injection molding machines with clamping forces of 6 to 10,000 kN for product weights of 0.1 to 4,000 g; special processes are gas internal pressure technology (GIT) and 2K injection molding. The offering is complemented by product development with CAD/CAM and fill/warpage studies, surface technology, joining technology, as well as assembly and kitting. In addition to the main plant in Heiligenhaus, the company operates production plants in Nielbark, Poland. In 2025, the company was renamed Lüttgens Polymer Technologies GmbH under the leadership of Dr. Richard Sobotta.

Quality
Quality control is performed using tactile and optical 3D metrology, design and process FMEA, and Babtec CAQ; in addition, products are tested externally. A ZEISS 3D coordinate measuring machine, a double-flank gear rolling tester for gears and drive pinions, and a universal testing machine for compression and tensile tests complement the inspection equipment.
