LUKAS Hydraulik GmbH, headquartered in Erlangen, develops and manufactures high-pressure hydraulics for industrial applications as well as hydraulic rescue and recovery equipment. Since 1948, lifting cylinders, pumps, power units and rerailing systems have been produced in-house, complemented by the battery-powered eDRAULIC/e3 product range for rescue services. The product portfolio includes light-alloy and steel cylinders, hollow piston cylinders, special cylinders, hand and motor pumps, hydraulic power units, rerailing systems for rail transport technology, and tactical equipment for military and police. The cylinders are designed for loads from five to 1,000 tonnes; light-alloy cylinders made of aluminium are distinguished by low weight and corrosion resistance, while saltwater-compatible systems enable underwater operations. Customers include fire brigades and rescue services, industry, rail transport, military and police, as well as wildfire fighting. The company is a Unit of IDEX Corporation and offers testing, maintenance and repair of equipment directly on-site at the customer via a service vehicle.
