LuMa-Tec Handlingsysteme GmbH is a medium-sized mechanical engineering company headquartered in Hofheim in Lower Franconia, near Haßfurt. Its main field of activity is the development and manufacture of extrusion machines for pipes and profiles up to 250 mm: extruders in various sizes, special cutters, belt pullers, cooling spray baths, thermo ovens, sorting and stacking systems as well as spare parts and extrusion accessories. In the field of mechanical engineering, the company offers design, development, programming, project engineering, process optimization as well as maintenance and servicing. In addition, special-purpose machines, semi-automatic assembly machines and flow assembly systems with integrated leak testing and good/bad part detection are produced. A focus is placed on a high degree of automation of process control via recipe or autopilot functions, which enables reproducible product quality and low scrap rates. LuMa-Tec systems are used in highly automated production lines at manufacturing facilities in national and international markets worldwide. The company originated from a joint venture between the Schlemmer Group and LuMa-Tec Hofheim; in February 2020, LuMa-Tec was acquired 100% by LuMa-Tec Handlingsysteme GmbH.

Quality
The assembly technology integrates process monitoring, leak testing with leakage measurement and good/bad part detection via indicator light function. At the extrusion lines, process data acquisition is carried out for the complete line with online length measurement and online speed control.

- 2020
In February 2020, LuMa-Tec was acquired 100% by LuMa-Tec Handlingsysteme GmbH; it had emerged from the joint venture between the Schlemmer Group and LuMa-Tec Hofheim, respectively from the company Steuerungs- & Solartechnik Rainer Dauelsberg.
