About Lumalytix
Lumalytix is a sub-brand of Dermagnostix GmbH from Freiburg launched in 2025. As part of the launch, the company took over the DiskReader business as well as the underlying fluorescence detector technology (FluoSens), thereby securing complete in-house development and production of the optical measuring devices. The portfolio comprises the plug-&-play detector FluoSens Go for up to two fluorophores as well as the OEM module FluoSens Integrated for handheld and embedded systems. At the core of the technology is a miniaturized confocal optic the size of a credit card with LED excitation, a reference monitor diode for temperature compensation and optical filters; the optic is produced by injection molding for reproducible large-scale series manufacturing. Fields of application include molecular diagnostics (PCR/qPCR, LAMP, RPA), cell biology and bioprocessing, laboratory automation, biosensors and microfluidics as well as food, environmental and industrial monitoring. Development and manufacturing take place in Germany.

Dermagnostix is founded as a spin-off of the Hahn-Schickard Institute Freiburg, the Helmholtz Center Munich and the Technical University of Munich and has been EN ISO 13485 certified since November 2022.
