About Lumatec
Lumatec GmbH, based in Deisenhofen near Munich, has specialised in high-performance optical technology since 1976. The company develops, manufactures and distributes components, systems and solutions for special lighting, including patented fluid light guides (Liquid Light Guides) in the 300 UV, 250 UVC, 2000 IR and 380 VIS series as well as high-performance and UV light sources such as SUPERLITE I06, SUPERLITE M03 and the forensic light source SUV S400. Fluid light guides transmit significantly more light than conventional quartz glass fibres while being more cost-effective; they are used, among other things, for light-curing adhesives in industrial production processes, non-destructive material testing, microscopy, wafer inspection, metrology and 3D digitising, as well as in technical endoscopy. Multispectral light sources are used in forensics for trace detection and in the life sciences for analysis. Customers come from industry, medical technology, forensics, life sciences and materials testing; users include Baxter and the US Air Force.
