About Lumatec

Lumatec is a Swiss manufacturer founded in 1987, producing LED emergency luminaires (BAES), safety lighting, architectural luminaires, LED floor markers (Balisage), as well as central power supply systems and monitoring systems. The focus of product development is miniaturisation: compact products with extended functions that blend unobtrusively into the architecture of buildings, monuments and infrastructure structures. The products are designed with a focus on energy efficiency and eco-design; aluminium and glass as well as flame-retardant plastic (ABS V0) and sheet steel are used as materials. Reference projects include the Château de Versailles, the Arc de Triomphe, Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, the Maison de la Paix in Geneva and Institut Le Rosey. Following the merger with the French specialist Class Market in 2009, Lumatec is present in more than ten countries and employs around 70 staff. The headquarters are in Plan-les-Ouates near Geneva, with a branch in Lons-le-Saunier serving the French market.
