About Lumberg

Lumberg is an independent, family-owned company based in Schalksmühle in the Sauerland region, founded in 1933 and specialized in connectors, contact systems, electromechanical elements and mechatronic components. The company develops and produces components and complete systems for the automotive, building technology, household appliance and mobile network (AISG) sectors. Manufacturing competencies include crimp and IDC (insulation displacement) technology for connector contacts made of gold-plated copper alloys, electroplating for surface finishing of contacts, as well as the assembly of connectors and electromechanical assemblies. High-current contacts up to 200 A are offered for SMT and THT mounting and validated according to LV215. In addition, Lumberg manufactures processing equipment such as hand crimping tools, toggle presses, and semi- and fully automatic processing machines for production runs from small batches to high volumes. According to the company, more than 800 vehicle models from 100 brands are equipped with Lumberg components, in particular RAST connectors for household appliances and heating technology.
