About LUMEN
LUMEN GmbH was founded in 1962 as a subsidiary of the IREKS Group (Ruckdeschel family), after the family had initially imported soft ice cream machines from America to Germany. Based in Kulmbach, the company develops and manufactures the LUNA ice cream machines for soft ice cream as well as machines for milkshakes and slush ice, complemented by compact machines such as Quick Cream and an iced coffee machine. Value creation takes place in-house: from concept and development through manufacturing to on-site installation, remote maintenance via telecontrol technology and customer service. Product-contacting machine parts are made of stainless steel; the machines are designed with a pasteurization system, self-service function, modern payment systems and durable motors. With its quality brand LunaMil, LUMEN also supplies soft ice cream, shake and slush products as well as accessories and promotional materials. Customers come from gastronomy, amusement parks, shopping centers, furniture stores and the grocery trade; through subsidiaries in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom as well as partners worldwide, LUMEN supplies international markets.
