About Lumesa

Lumesa SA develops and manufactures at its headquarters in Lumino (canton of Ticino) lightweight portable drilling rigs of the Mounty® brand, hydraulic drilling attachments (LDA series) for excavators and walking excavators, hydraulic power packs, electric injection pumps, and drilling tools such as Lumetrix casing systems and down-the-hole hammers (DTH). The rig profiles have always been made from a high-strength stainless steel (INOX); complex individual parts made of various materials, especially stainless steel, are welded in-house and assembled into complete assemblies. Production is largely outsourced to Swiss suppliers; development, assembly, workshop/service, and a large spare-parts warehouse are located in Lumino. Founded in 1980 and acquired in 2018 by Küchler Group AG, the company supplies customers in special civil engineering, railway construction, slope stabilization, geotechnics, and quarrying/mining; Lumesa machines are in operation on all continents. The sister company Lumesa GmbH, founded in 2022 in Kapfenberg (Austria), is responsible for the development and production of excavator drilling attachments and special drilling technology solutions.
