About LUMO
LUMO offers additive manufacturing of components in metal and reinforced plastic according to customer requirements. Parts are produced using ADAM technology (material strand extrusion, FFF/Metal X system) from Markforged; in addition, parts can be post-processed or finished, and metal parts can be sintered and heat-treated. The material portfolio includes plastics such as Onyx (ESD/FR) and Nylon with continuous fiber reinforcement made of carbon fiber, Kevlar or fiberglass, as well as metals such as pure copper, Inconel 625, tool steels and stainless steel 17-4HP. In addition to manufacturing, LUMO supports customers with component development (Design for Manufacturing), component optimization using load case simulation and FEM calculation, and quality management. The service spectrum covers prototypes, pilot series, series parts and spare parts. Industries served include, among others, motorsport, aerospace, the chemical industry, environmental technology, intralogistics, toolmaking and gearbox manufacturing.

Materials and Processes
Onyx
Polyamide with carbon fibers for high strength, also available in ESD and flame-retardant (FR) versions.
Nylon
Thermoplastic material used as the base material in composite printing.
Carbon Fiber (Continuous Fiber)
Continuous fiber reinforcement that achieves strengths comparable to aluminum in highly stressed areas.
Kevlar (Continuous Fiber)
Continuous fiber reinforcement with high durability under repeated and impact loading.
Fiberglass / HSHT Fiberglass (Continuous Fiber)
Entry-level fiber for cost-effective, robust components; the HSHT version offers aluminum-strength and heat resistance.
Pure Copper (99.8%)
Components with high thermal and electrical conductivity, e.g. heat sinks, induction coils or electrode holders.
SL Inconel 625
Nickel-based superalloy with consistent strength from -50 to 650 °C, resistant to acids and seawater.
D2 Tool Steel
Hard, wear-resistant steel for cutting, bending, punching and deep-drawing tools.
A2 Tool Steel
Tough tool steel with dimensional stability up to approx. 200 °C for punching and deep-drawing tools and injection molds.
H13 Tool Steel
Tool steel with 40 HRC that retains its hardness even at high temperatures, e.g. for cutting tool bodies and brazing fixtures.
Stainless Steel 17-4HP
Stainless steel for functional prototypes and handling applications.
