About Schmiede Eiserne Hand
Schmiede Eiserne Hand by Lutz Isselhorst is a sole proprietorship in Voerde on the Lower Rhine. It produces horseshoes and horseshoeing equipment for equestrian and agricultural use as well as metal designs such as stair railings, wrought-iron window grilles, gates, table frames and small art objects. Forging is done traditionally at the forge on the anvil, supplemented by welding and grinding of metal. The main material is wrought iron; metal splinters and scrap metal are also turned into art objects. Customers include riders and farmers as well as clients in metal construction and arts and crafts, predominantly in the regional surroundings of the district of Wesel. The name goes back to artistically crafted iron hand door handles at the workshop entrance.
