Elektro Thieme is a master electrician business in Weimar, now in its third generation, with a family tradition dating back to 1927. Otto Thieme founded the company as one of the first lightning protection installation businesses in Thuringia and ran an electrical goods store on Heinrich-Heine-Straße in Weimar until 1981. Since 1997, Lutz Thieme has continued running the business as a master electrician. The range of services includes electrical installation for new buildings and refurbishment of existing buildings, modernization of meter cabinets and sub-distributions, emergency power solutions as well as repairs. Since 2007, photovoltaics has been a key focus: the business plans and installs PV systems, battery storage units and wallboxes for single-family homes, multi-family buildings and smaller commercial businesses – including grid registration, commissioning, load management and billing systems with MID-compliant metering.
