About us
Luz-Metall is an owner-managed manufacturing company in Neuhausen ob Eck, between the Swabian Jura, the Black Forest and Lake Constance, founded in 1971 by Erwin Luz. The company produces hand reamers, smoothing reamers and tap reamers made from silver steel 1.2210, which are ground conically with five flats and polished; dimensions range from 0.05 to 10.50 mm. In addition to the standard types, special reamers such as four-fluted Schanier reamers and cylindrically ground variants made from spring steel are produced, along with matching handles and oilers. The company also manufactures parts to sample or drawing, jigs and fixtures, and surgical instruments using 5-axis CNC milling, long turning up to 200 mm, drilling, bending and gas-shielded welding. The products are used mainly in the watchmaking industry, but also in surgery, mechanical and plant engineering, and are delivered worldwide. Since the move in 2014 to the Filz industrial park and the operation of a photovoltaic system since 2016, production has followed current technical standards.
