About LVtech

LVtech is a service provider specializing in the FDM 3D printing process (Fused Deposition Modeling/FFF), based in Grasbrunn near Munich. The company produces components made of plastic and fiber-reinforced plastic – from one-off pieces and prototypes to small series. The service portfolio includes printing and delivering parts, creating and optimizing CAD designs including FEM simulation, topology optimization for weight and material reduction, checking and repairing defective 3D files, as well as consolidating assemblies. A key focus is the 3D printing of spare parts, which are reconstructed via CAD if required. Materials processed include ABS, ASA, PLA, TPU, PA as well as the fiber-reinforced plastics PA12 CF and PA6 GF30. In addition to its B2B service, LVtech operates a shop for its own bicycle, motorcycle and camping accessories, which are manufactured in-house using its 3D printing process.

Materials & Processes

FDM

FDM/FFF 3D printing

Layer-by-layer build-up of the component from molten plastic filament, suitable for stable, rigid parts with a wide variety of materials.

ABS

ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer)

Robust, stiff and tough filament with good temperature resistance, used for prototypes, housings, body parts and brackets, among other things.

ASA

ASA (acrylonitrile styrene acrylate)

UV- and weather-resistant "outdoor" alternative to ABS, e.g. for exterior applications in the automotive industry and for housings.

PLA

PLA (polylactide)

Biodegradable, easy-to-process filament with high stiffness and good print quality.

TPU

TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane)

Flexible, elastic material with rubber-like elasticity, suitable for seals, damping elements and flexible joints.

PA

PA (polyamide)

Engineering plastic for durable components.

PA12 CF

PA12 CF (polyamide 12, carbon fiber reinforced)

Carbon fiber-reinforced polyamide for highly rigid, lightweight components.

PA6 GF30

PA6 GF30 (polyamide 6, 30% glass fiber)

Glass fiber-reinforced polyamide for stable, load-bearing applications.
