The company develops and manufactures special-purpose machines and turnkey systems for assembly automation, test automation (end-of-line test stations, leak testing, AOI) and robotics automation, complemented by machine vision alignment, material handling and digital systems for process data (SPC, Shop Floor Control, HIVE monitoring, predictive maintenance). The value chain covers consulting and concept design, engineering and development, manufacturing and assembly through to commissioning – with more than 130 designers and developers in its own engineering department. Materials and components handled include stainless steel, plastics, copper and aluminium, for example in ultrasonic welding processes or joining in the micrometre range (tolerance 0.003 mm). Customers come from the automotive, medical technology, electronics, new energy, defence, consumer goods, plastics processing and beverage industries; several thousand systems are in operation worldwide. In addition to its main plant in Kronach/Neuses with 8,000 m² of production space, M.A.i maintains production and service locations in China, Mexico and Malaysia as well as service centres in Hungary and Serbia.
