About M2-Instruments
M2-Instruments GmbH develops and manufactures compact benchtop microdispensing systems for the reliable handling of sensitive liquids. The flagship iFOUR enables contact-free dosing from 10 picoliters to 1 microliter and is designed for microarray printing, biosensor functionalization, and loading of lab-on-a-chip and microfluidics chips. The technology portfolio includes the Piezo-Driven Microdispenser (PDMD/PDMD-L) with up to 1000 drops per second, the Aspirate/Dispense dispenser M2MD AD (10 nL to 5 µL), and the Bulk Dispenser M2MD BD. The systems process proteins, aptamers, oligonucleotides, antibodies, DNA, and enzymes on substrates such as slides, membranes, chips, and microtiter plates. The company was founded in 2019 and is based in Wildau near Berlin; the sister company and parent organization is M2-Automation GmbH, which delivers custom multi-channel systems for scalable production. Sales, service, and support are provided worldwide, including via authorized distributors in the Americas, China, as well as Australia and New Zealand.

Dispensed substances and dispenser technologies
Piezo-Driven Microdispenser
Contact-free picoliter dosing from 20–30 pL at up to 1000 drops/s with pulse shaper for application-specific pulse adjustment.
PDMD Type L
High-capacity piezo dispenser for an extended volume range with fewer changes in the workflow.
M2 Microdispenser Aspirate/Dispense
Aspirates and dispenses liquids from 10 nL to 5 µL with three interchangeable glass tips.
M2 Microdispenser Bulk Reservoir
Bulk dispensing of a solution from a 20-mL glass vial from the nanoliter down to the lower microliter range.
Borosilicate glass
Capillary material of the piezo dispensers for precise droplet formation.
Piezoceramic actuator
Actuates the volume displacement in the PDMD for ultra-fast dosing.
