About Macnica ATD Europe
Macnica ATD Europe is the European subsidiary of Macnica Inc., Yokohama (Japan), one of the largest semiconductor distributors worldwide, founded in 1972. The company emerged from ATD Electronique, a distributor specialized in imaging solutions that Macnica acquired 100% in 2019, as well as the former German Macnica GmbH. It distributes semiconductors and imaging components such as CCD and CMOS image sensors (including global shutter and InGaAs/SWIR sensors), optics, image processing processors, FPGAs, ASICs, IP cores, memories, GNSS and power management ICs as well as OLED microdisplays. In addition, Macnica ATD Europe offers design-in and engineering support, reference designs, evaluation kits, image signal processing IP and edge AI solutions. The European headquarters is located in Chatou near Paris; in Germany there are sites in Munich, Ingolstadt and Regensburg, with further offices in the United Kingdom, Italy and Spain. Customers come, among others, from machine vision, medical technology, automotive, robotics, defense and IoT.
