Macoo Obst-, Gemüse- & Blumengroßhandel GmbH was founded in Dresden in 1992 and, as a branch operator, supplies retailers, restaurants and large-scale consumers in eastern Germany. The standard range includes over 200 fruit and vegetable items, supplemented by seasonal specials, staple foods such as sugar, flour, oil and pasta as well as convenience products. As a direct importer, the company sources goods from producers without intermediaries, mainly in Spain and Italy; vegetables are preferably purchased regionally. The headquarters in Dresden-Kaditz covers 2500 m², and from 3 a.m. daily customers can select fresh goods there or have them delivered. With 110 employees in seven branches, Macoo is one of the larger fruit and vegetable wholesalers in eastern Germany. The company is certified according to the IFS Wholesale Standard.
