About MADUKA

MADUKA develops safety solutions for public swimming pools. Its core product is EGON (Electronic Ground Orientation Network), a sensor-based drowning detection system that detects motionless bodies on the pool floor and alerts the lifeguard staff within approximately 10 seconds – without video surveillance and without collecting personal data. The system consists of six components: the central unit EGON core (steel cabinet with touchscreen and emergency power supply), the sensor units EGON sense, the alerting devices EGON notify, the display EGON view, the wireless gateway EGON safety net and the inductive charging station EGON power hub made of aluminium. EGON operates via its own autonomous wireless network without WLAN, cloud or internet connection and remains operational even during power outages. The system is designed for pools up to Olympic size, suitable for outdoor and indoor pools, and can be retrofitted into existing pools. According to the manufacturer, engineering and production are 100% in Germany; EGON is expected to be available from 2027, and pre-orders are already possible.
