About Märker Gruppe
The Märker Group was founded in 1889 as “Dampfziegelei Stein- und Kalkwerke August Märker” and has developed over more than 130 years into a group of companies with its own family business. At more than 50 locations, building materials are produced, including cement, lime, ready-mixed concrete, gravel & sand, precast concrete parts, specialty binders as well as trass and Sorbalit. Production takes place in the company's own plants with modern facilities and its own product development. Quality assurance and monitoring systems as well as logistics are aligned with customers' requirements. The headquarters and plants of the business divisions are located in Harburg (Swabia); at the Harburg plant, among other things, the newly built kiln 8 is in operation. Märker sees itself as a regional partner for the construction industry and industry and addresses sustainability topics, including concrete made from recycled aggregate and the path to climate neutrality.
