About Märker
The Märker Group is an independent family business founded in 1889, headquartered in Harburg (Swabia) with over 50 locations in southern Germany. The company produces cement (CEM I, CEM II, CEM III), lump lime, fine white lime and white lime hydrate, ready-mixed concrete, large-format precast concrete elements as well as gravel and sand products and binder mix products for soil stabilization, road construction and plasters/mortars. The value chain extends from its own raw material extraction in the quarry through processing, burning, grinding and mixing to structural design planning, in-house formwork construction, concrete testing in its own laboratory and installation of the precast elements. Customers come from the construction industry, residential, commercial and industrial construction as well as civil and road engineering. The raw materials Jura limestone, gravel, sand and blast furnace slag or trass are also created as recycled aggregates (Märker_R); almost all concrete locations are CSC-certified, with the cement and lime works certified in Gold.

Materials and Processes
Portland cement (CEM I 52,5 N/R and others)
For concrete, reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete according to DIN EN 206-1 as well as precast concrete elements and industrial floors.
Portland composite cement (e.g. Portland limestone cement CEM II/A-LL)
Cements produced with Jura limestone flour or blast furnace slag flour for concrete, screed and base layers.
Blast furnace cement
CEM III/A 42,5 N LH (na) and CEM III/B 42,5 L LH/SR for concrete with increased requirements regarding heat development and sulfate resistance.
Lump lime (calcium oxide)
Lime burned in shaft kilns at 900–1,200 °C for industrial applications and flue gas cleaning.
White lime hydrate and fine white lime
Fine-grain products (fine white lime < 0.5 mm) for plasters, mortars and various industrial applications.
Trass lime (hydraulic lime)
Hydraulic lime HL 5 or HL 5-HS for restorations, natural building methods and masonry.
Ready-mixed concrete
Concrete mixed in precisely controlled plants, also with recycled aggregates (Märker_R), including CO2-reduced variants (Märker_Eco).
Limestone aggregate, gravel and sand
Washed and classified aggregates for concrete, screed, mortar, asphalt and frost protection layers.
