MAFA Maschinen und Fahrzeuge GmbH is a medium-sized vehicle manufacturing company based in Am Ettersberg (Vippachedelhausen) in Thuringia, between Erfurt and Weimar. The company manufactures trailers, semi-trailers and superstructures for trucks based on its own engineering designs, including container vehicles, chassis for third-party superstructures such as tank vehicles and flatbed chassis, gas transport semi-trailers, dollies and stationary tipping systems. Instead of standardized products, MAFA offers individual solutions in line with customer specifications. Manufacturing is predominantly in steel construction, supported by an extensive range of metalworking machinery. In addition, service and workshop services are offered: repair and maintenance of semi-trailers, trailers and superstructures, complete overhaul of trailer vehicles, repair of loading cranes, roll-off and hook-lift tippers, sandblasting and painting work, as well as inspection of electrical, brake and hydraulic systems. With a roller brake test bench, MAFA also carries out vehicle inspections such as the main inspection, emissions test and roller brake test. Founded in 1993, the company employs 45 staff, including 4 apprentices.
