About MAGAZIN
MAGAZIN is a retailer, designer and producer of well-designed products for living and working. Founded in 1971 in Stuttgart by students and academic staff of the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart, the company offers a curated range of furniture, lighting, household and work products as well as its own M products. Proprietary developments are created together with external designers from the first sketch to production readiness and are manufactured in small series, usually by regional craft and industrial businesses. Well-known examples include the Container DS, the 1Hoch3 shelving system, and furniture such as the Fip sideboard and the Simplon bed made of solid wood and sheet steel, partly painted in RAL colors. In addition to its mail-order business, MAGAZIN operates stores in Stuttgart, Munich, Bonn and Cologne and supports furnishing projects for architects and companies from consulting through delivery to assembly. The headquarters are located at Lautenschlagerstraße 16 in Stuttgart.
