maGme Maschinenbau Gmehling e. K., based in Altdorf near Nuremberg, manufactures extruders, co-extruders and granulators as well as customer-specific solutions in all areas of extrusion technology. The product portfolio comprises single-screw extruders (screw diameters 14–45 mm, L/D 20/25/30/33), grooved-feed and smooth-bore extruders, laboratory extruders with degassing, recycling extruders, process units, screws, cooling baths and pressure filter test devices according to EN 13900-5. The systems process standard and engineering thermoplastics such as PE, PA, PP, PET, PVC or PEEK as well as special materials such as ceramics, rubber, silicone, fluoropolymers and bioplastics; for corrosive melts, barrels made of Hastelloy and screws made of Inconel with special coating are used. A high level of in-house manufacturing depth allows the extruders to be adapted to each customer's process – from research and prototyping to production and quality assessment. In-house control and regulation technology with visualization and data interfaces, as well as drive and gear concepts (CMG, bevel/spur gearboxes, synchronous motors), complete the offering. The machines find applications in pipe, profile, cable, film and blow molding technology, masterbatch production and recycling.

Quality and Standards
The purity of polymers and masterbatches can be tested with standardized pressure filter test devices according to EN 13900-5. The in-house control technology monitors temperature, speed, torque and melt pressure with recording and evaluation of all process parameters.
