About Magswitch Technologies
Magswitch Technologies develops and manufactures switchable permanent magnet systems for industrial applications. The portfolio includes magnetic grippers and end-of-arm tooling for robotics, electro-permanent lifting technology for heavy material handling, magnetic clamping and fixturing tools for welding and fabrication, as well as tools for woodworking and drilling. The core technology is an electro-permanent, switchable magnet system that holds without continuous power and consumes no energy on release; the Variable Flux Output (VFO) technology allows stepless control of magnetic force between 0 and 100 %. The company also offers application engineering, custom products, private-label and co-branded solutions, and magnetic finite element analysis (MFEA) for holding force validation. The systems are used on ferromagnetic steel, including thin or thick, flat, round, hot and dirty steel. Customer industries include automotive, manufacturing/automation, shipbuilding, welding and fabrication, woodworking, municipalities, heavy lifting and drilling.
