Mahlo GmbH + Co. KG, headquartered in Saal an der Donau, develops and manufactures measuring, control and automation systems for quality control of moving webs. The family-owned company, founded in 1945 by Dr. Heinz Mahlo, produces weft straightening systems (Orthopac, Orthomax), traversing quality guidance systems (Qualiscan QMS), process control systems (Optipac, Atmoset) and sensors based on optical, radiometric, infrared and microwave measuring methods. Applications include online measurement and control of basis weight, thickness, moisture, density and skew in textiles, nonwovens, coatings, extruded films, battery films and paper. Manufacturing and product development take place at the headquarters in Saal an der Donau on a site of more than 23,000 square meters. With around 200 to 250 employees, five subsidiaries, more than 70 representatives and over 40 service stations, Mahlo is present in more than 100 countries. The service offering includes installation, commissioning, maintenance, remote maintenance, spare parts, training and data analysis (mLog, mSmart).
