About us

Mahlwerk Neubauer-Friedrich Geffers GmbH operates the Steinbeker Mühle mill in Hamburg, which has been owned by the Neubauer family since 1735 and is one of the oldest businesses in the city. The company is active in mineral import and the further processing of minerals. Since 1937, the production of mica products has been an important pillar: the portfolio comprises mica flour, mica powder, mica dust and mica flakes based on muscovite mica, both wet-ground and calcined mica as well as silky-lustre mica. In addition to mica, coconut shell granulate and coconut shell flour as well as talc are offered. The products serve as ingredients for fillers and release agents; coconut shell flour is used in particular in the production of adhesives and phenolic resin moulding compounds. The company advises customers on products and qualities and produces and distributes goods of reliable quality in accordance with its own corporate principles.
