About the Traum-Fabrik
Maiers Bettwarenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG trades under the name Schwäbische Traum-Fabrik and has been producing mattresses and bedding products by hand since 1996 at its site in Bad Boll in the district of Göppingen. The product range includes handcrafted mattresses in special sizes and special shapes, quilted and box-stitched duvets, pillows, slatted frames, box spring and senior beds as well as special solutions for motorhomes, caravans and boats. Materials processed include, among others, cold foam, PU foam, Hydrofoam EMC, X-Dura, visco foam and natural Talalay latex as well as down, natural hairs such as alpaca, camel hair and cashmere, and cotton. Every mattress is individually made to suit the sleeper; the raw materials come almost exclusively from Germany and the region. The offering also includes an own bedding cleaning service, in-home consultation within the delivery area, and 2-person delivery right into the bedroom. The company employs around 20 staff and is represented with a showroom in Bad Boll.

History

Eva and Sven Maier found the Traum-Fabrik in Bad Boll (district of Göppingen).
- 1997
In autumn 1997, the first mattress is handcrafted for a customer; the first shop is set up in a former window factory.
- 2011
Acquisition of the alpaca farm Unterer Berghof in the Northern Black Forest for own production of alpaca fibres.
- 2013
Awarded Bedding Retailer of the Year at the Heimtextil trade fair in Frankfurt.

Quality seal 'Generationsfreundliches Einkaufen' (generation-friendly shopping) for all locations.
