About Maintal Konfitüren
Maintal Konfitüren GmbH is an independent family business now run by the fourth and fifth generation, headquartered in Haßfurt in Bavaria. Since 1886 the company has been producing preserves, jams, jellies and fruit spreads, including the Maintal Hagebutten-Konfitüre extra (rosehip extra preserve). Processing takes place at the Bavarian confiture manufactory five days a week: the fruits are deep-frozen at perfect ripeness, then gently cooked in small batches in the vacuum kettle at low temperatures and with short heating, filled, packaged and shipped. The ingredients come from more than 20 countries; the product range includes conventional, organic, Demeter and reduced-sugar products as well as wine jellies made from Franconian quality wines. Since 2020, cold-pressed organic rosehip seed oil (organic wild rose oil) has been extracted from rosehip seeds for the cosmetics industry. Distribution takes place via food retail, organic markets, a factory outlet and an online shop with direct shipping within Germany.
