The painting business Thomas Stich is a guild-certified trade business of the Painters and Varnishers Guild Kempten/Memmingen/Mindelheim based in Sontheim in the Unterallgäu region. The family company, founded in 1939 by Karl Stich, has been run since 2004 by Thomas Stich in the third generation together with his wife Alexandra. The business carries out painting work indoors and outdoors – in new construction, conversion and renovation – including façade painting, varnishing work, interior design, floor coatings, restorations, wood protection and the installation of pleated blinds. Planning and work preparation are provided from a single source by trained skilled staff. Since June 2020, customers have had access to the newly built consultation and sales room Farben[T]raum, which offers individual advice on colors, wallpapers, floor coverings and pleated blinds. There, desired color shades can be tinted within minutes using the company's own color mixing system; in addition, painter's accessories such as brushes, adhesive tape and masking material are sold. The business works mainly in the private customer sector, but also counts commercial businesses and municipalities among its regular customers. For many years the company has trained painters and varnishers; more than 18 painters have received their journeyman's certificate there.
