About MAMMUT-WETRO
MAMMUT-WETRO Schmelztiegelwerk GmbH, based in Wetro near Puschwitz (district of Bautzen, Saxony), produces refractory coarse-ceramic products used for melting, alloying, holding and transporting non-ferrous metals. The product range comprises isostatically pressed clay-graphite crucibles with a filling capacity of up to 1400 kg of aluminium for foundries in the automotive sector through to small cylindrical crucibles for alloy analysis of scrap metals. The range is complemented by SiCarbon – isostatically pressed silicon carbide crucibles for applications up to over 1600 °C, primarily in induction furnace systems – as well as foundry supplies such as pedestals, pyrometer protection tubes, pouring troughs, ladles, degassing bells and purging lances. The basis of the product properties is the switch to resin bonding, the isostatic pressing process and a special firing process. The integration of material development, production, quality assurance and application assessment is part of the ISO 9001:2015-certified management system. The company supplies foundries worldwide and operates under the motto “Quality from experience”.
