Manufacturer of solid parquet from Liezen
The deisl parkettmanufaktur is a craft-oriented family business from Liezen in Styria (Austria) that produces solid parquet: solid wood planks, herringbone parquet and classic strip parquet, each made from a single piece of wood. Production is exclusively to order as one-off manufacturing – without a warehouse of finished goods. The value chain covers the entire process starting from raw timber: air drying in the company's own sawn timber hall, technical drying in the drying chamber, intermediate storage in the climate hall, then sawing and cutting to width and length, planing, profiling with a proprietary tongue-and-groove system, and surface treatment by sanding, brushing and oiling with natural oils (predominantly linseed oil) in individually mixed colours from up to 40 base colours. Typical thicknesses range from 11 to 25 mm, with board thicknesses of 21 or 26 mm in the raw state; a version from 13 mm thickness is also possible. Special features include the patented stabilisation with glass-fibre-reinforced plastic rods on the underside of the planks, wood steaming, the Orion Crystal-Flooring with Swarovski crystals, and solid wood wall facades. Wood species used include oak, beech, maple, ash, larch, walnut, cherry, acacia, birch, pear and teak. The unavoidable wood waste is used to heat the drying chambers and the climate hall. Installation work by the company's own specialists rounds off the offering.

Quality assurance
Quality is ensured through regular spot checks and measurement: approximately every 50th plank is precisely measured after profiling, with fit accuracy and angles checked. In addition, a moisture check is carried out before processing; planks with cracks that are too wide are shortened or rejected.

Origin of the manufactory
The starting point was a customer from Vancouver (Canada) looking for a solid wood floor that can be installed like engineered parquet; Manfred Deisl consequently developed solid wood planks with engineered-parquet-style installation.
Foundation of Manfred Deisl GmbH by Manfred Deisl; exceptional processing methods such as steaming, boiling of the wood, a special tongue-and-groove system and the Orion Crystal-Flooring were added over time.
Today the company is led by Michael Deisl (owner, managing director).
