About MANN+HUMMEL
MANN+HUMMEL is an owner-managed family company headquartered in Ludwigsburg that develops and manufactures filtration solutions for cleaner mobility, air, water and industry. The portfolio includes air, oil, fuel and hydraulic filters, filter elements and cartridge filters, intake manifolds and plastic oil filter housings as well as water filtration from reverse osmosis to microfiltration. At the core of the products are self-developed filter media: nonwovens (spunlaid, drylaid, wetlaid), membranes, adsorbents such as activated carbon and ion exchange resins, and surface treatments such as antimicrobial coatings. Injection molding includes, among other things, Lost Core technology for seamless, complex intake manifolds. The solutions serve OEM and aftermarket customers, among others, in the automotive, agricultural machinery, intralogistics, food and pharmaceutical industries. With more than 80 locations worldwide, around 20,000 employees and revenue of €4.2 billion, the company produces approximately 32 filters per second.

Filter Media and Processes
Nonwovens
Remove particles from gas and liquid; produced using the spunlaid, drylaid and wetlaid processes with high mechanical strength.
Membranes
Enable micro-, ultra- and nanofiltration as well as reverse osmosis for water treatment and process applications.
Activated Carbon
Adsorbent for removing VOCs and inorganic gases from air and water.
Ion Exchange Resins
Used in ion exchange filters, among other things, for the deionization of coolant.
Plastic (intake manifolds, oil filter housings)
Enables weight savings and complex component geometries via Lost Core injection molding.
Lignin
Renewable raw material for CO₂-reduced filters as part of the Naturally Better strategy.
Textile/Fabric
Historical starting material of the first cloth air filters and felt cone air filters.
