About Manufactura Monacensis
Manufactura Monacensis is a sole proprietorship from Munich dedicated to historical reenactment. Its range consists exclusively of handcrafted goods produced in-house, depicting the Early Middle Ages back to Antiquity. The focus of production lies on the Celtic era. At the centre are textile works made of sheep's wool: from spinning with the hand spindle, via dyeing with natural dyes, in particular with herbs from the local area, to nalbinding, warp-weighted loom weaving (tablet weaving and band weaving). In addition to nalbound items, the manufactory also offers ceramics, glass beads, accessories and historical painting. The production is demonstrated publicly at markets to show visitors historical craft techniques; there is no retail shop.
