Manufacture Grand-Ducale SARL (MGD) was founded in 2020 in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. In 2022, the Swiss subsidiary MGD Swiss, Manufacture Grand-Ducale Swiss SA, opened in La Chaux-de-Fonds, led by a specialist expert with many years of experience in watchmaking. The company manufactures parts and components for Haute Horlogerie (watchmaking) and Haute Joaillerie (jewellery): cases, dials and hands for prototyping, ultra-precision 3/4/5-axis milling as well as ultra-precision turning (décolletage). The manufacturing capability is complemented by surface finishing: mirror and high-gloss polishing, satin finishing, micro-blasting/sandblasting, anglage by hand and by machine, as well as decorative work and lacquer application. The machine portfolio includes CNC machining centres, lathes, wire and die-sinking EDM machines, and surface and cylindrical grinding machines. For quality control, several 3D coordinate measuring machines, height gauges, profile projectors and optical measuring devices are available. The company also operates a complete cleaning station and watchmaker stations.
