About Reuge
The Manufacture Reuge was founded in 1865 in Sainte-Croix in the Swiss Jura and is the only still-active manufacture that designs and produces luxury music boxes. The product portfolio includes mechanical musical movements, singing-bird automata (oiseaux chanteurs) and tabatières as well as music boxes in traditional and contemporary creations, including automated sound sculptures. The craft know-how has been passed on orally from generation to generation for over 150 years. Since 2023, the manufacture has belonged to the independent watchmaking house De Bethune. The products are sold worldwide; production takes place entirely at the Sainte-Croix site on the Balcon du Jura.
