About Manufaktur BLAUSIEB
Manufaktur BLAUSIEB is an owner-operated textile manufactory in Criewen in the Lower Oder Valley National Park, northeast of Berlin. Owner Susan Krieger, a certified textile designer, produces hand-printed tablecloths, table runners, and kitchen towels made from 100% linen. Each motif is created using artisanal plant screen printing with real plants and grasses from the roadside of the Uckermark, such as Hirtentäschel, Wiesenkerbel, wild oats, or Knäuelgräser. The linen fabrics come from the oldest linen factory in Lithuania. In addition to production, the transparent screen printing workshop offers workshops on the technique of plant screen printing and sells regional products from other producers such as honey, natural soaps, mustard, ceramics, and apple juice. Sustainability and resource-efficient production using renewable materials, right down to the packaging, are core parts of the concept; the products are available through its own online shop.
