MAPAL Dr. Kress SE & Co. KG, headquartered in Aalen, is a technology partner for the machining of cubic components. The company develops and manufactures precision tools for reaming, fine boring, solid drilling, counterboring, countersinking, milling and turning, as well as clamping technology, control tools, tool setting devices and special tools such as form cutters and step drills. The tools are made from materials including carbide, PCD (polycrystalline diamond), PCBN, CVD diamond and cermet; an in-house coating system is available for high-performance tool coatings. The portfolio is complemented by services such as turnkey solutions, tool management, tool reconditioning with resharpening and recoating, training and re.tooling. Around 4,500 employees in 25 countries supply industries such as automotive, electrified mobility, fluid technology, tool and mould making, aerospace and medical technology. In addition to the headquarters in Aalen, there are German production sites in Pforzheim, Winterlingen, Altenstadt, Ehrenfriedersdorf, Meiningen-Dreißigacker, Eppingen and Ludwigsburg, as well as sales companies in, among others, France, Italy, Poland and Romania.
