About Marelcom AG
Marelcom AG, founded in 1995, is a development and trading company for display and operating systems in industrial electronics, headquartered in Nidfurn in the canton of Glarus. The portfolio includes displays (TFT, OLED, E-Paper, monochrome LCD), capacitive touch panels, membrane keyboards, silicone key mats and 2D/3D gesture controls. In addition, plastic injection-molded parts: from 3D design with mold-flow studies and toolmaking to series production at long-standing partner plants in China, with injection molding machines up to 1600 tons of clamping force. The in-house electronics development creates hardware and software, IoT solutions as well as test and programming units. Complete devices are assembled, programmed and electrically final-tested in Nidfurn. The warehouse with almost 1000 pallet spaces enables short-notice deliveries throughout Europe.

Materials and Processes
Polycarbonate (semi-translucent)
For injection-molded parts with display illumination across wall thicknesses and surface qualities.
Silicone
For key mats, seals and overmolded tread surfaces.
Acrylic (PMMA)
As a protective cover for displays, e.g. in membrane keyboards.
Tempered glass / Gorilla Glass
For cover lenses and touch fronts with AG/AF/AR treatment.
Aluminium (anodized)
For milled housings, e.g. wheelchair controls.
Aluminium die casting (chrome-plated)
For housings, e.g. professional kitchen mixers.
Polyester / Mylar
Circuit layers and switch domes in membrane keyboards.
ITO
Substrate material for electrodes in gesture controls and touch solutions.
Copper
Conductor material in cable assemblies; copper coating as a finish for injection-molded parts.
Epoxy
For keys in membrane keyboards.
