System house for industrial software and automation
Marine- und Automatisierungstechnik Rostock GmbH (MAR) is a system house for industrial automation, process and production management, and maritime systems. The company realizes customer-specific complete solutions — from consulting, planning and project engineering through design and programming to the manufacture of low-voltage switchgear assemblies, assembly, installation, commissioning, plant documentation, and service and maintenance — if required 24/7 and remotely via VPN. Controller programming is manufacturer-independent with a focus on Siemens and Wago, complemented by SCADA systems based on WinCC, Wonderware, Codesys and Atvise as well as cloud-based IIoT solutions (sMARt Automation). With production management systems (PMS/MES) and energy management software, for example for the glass industry, MAR supports the digitalization of production. Industries served include automation technology, the glass, food and chemical industries, offshore wind energy, maritime shipping and simulation, as well as water and wastewater management; MAR serves customers in Europe, Asia, Africa and Central America. Since 2019, MAR has been part of the SEAR Group and operates from its headquarters in Rostock and, since 2024, from its southern site in Heidelberg.

Processes and systems
Programmable logic controllers (Siemens, Wago)
The basis of most automation solutions, from small controllers to highly available systems.
SCADA systems (WinCC, Wonderware, Codesys, Atvise)
Operator and process visualization from a simple station to a complex control system.
Cloud SCADA and IIoT (sMARt Automation)
Retrofitting existing automation to Industry 4.0 with edge gateways and cloud connectivity.
Production management systems (PMS/MES, IPMS 4.0)
Real-time-capable, database-based systems for mapping complex production and process structures.
Energy management software
Recording and analysis of media consumption (electricity, gas, compressed air) up to batch allocation, e.g. in the glass industry.
