About Mark Light
Mark Light has been part of the MARK Group, founded in 1920 by Rudolf MARK Senior, since 2008 and has expanded the product portfolio with its own division: extremely lightweight, compact and powerful carbon hybrid hydraulic cylinders. The cylinders combine classic, high-strength metallic materials such as aluminium and steel with carbon fibres (CFRP), which serve as a structural joining element in the carbon winding technology – entirely without welding, bonding or threads. Precision-manufactured components such as pistons, rod guides and cylinder bases are made from aluminium or steel, while the liner is extremely thin-walled with wall thicknesses down to 0.4 mm. Customers can choose between serviceable, dismountable cylinders and maintenance-free variants; modular production from proven modules enables customer-specific designs tailored to load collectives without long development times. The group delivers thousands of cylinders annually, with the MARK Group providing backing for quality and safety. The carbon cylinders are used among other things in lift platforms, transport and agricultural machinery, in maritime applications, in e-mobility, in rescue cylinders for fire brigades and police, and in micro cylinders for exoskeletons.

History
- 1920
Rudolf MARK Senior founds the company MARK; the founder's dachshund ("first employee and first sensor") becomes the company logo.
- 2008
Mark Light becomes part of the MARK Group and, with the vision of revolutionising the hydraulic cylinder industry, establishes the carbon hybrid cylinder division.
