About the Municipality

The market town of Weilmünster is a municipality in the district of Limburg-Weilburg in Central Hesse, located on the northern slope of the Taunus in the valley of the Weil river. The municipality consists of thirteen districts and is administered by the municipal board under the representation of Mayor Mario Koschel. The core town is the largest district and a centre for retail and medical care. The municipality offers municipal administrative services through the citizens' office and the town hall; additionally, there are a family centre, a municipal library, youth services and the citizens' newspaper Weilmünsterer Nachrichten.
